Why it’s important: Authenticity, speaking your truth, creativity, communication.

Principle:

Expression and Communication, listening, authenticity. 

Location:

Throat. 

Body Parts:

  • Neck.

  • Mouth.

  • Jaw.

  • Tongue.

Organs:

  • Throat.

  • Mouth.

  • Thyroid.

  • Larynx.

Mantra:

  • I speak my truth. 

  • My voice matters.   

Balanced Throat:

Clear, balanced speech, a good listener. 

Physical symptoms:

Sore throat, Thyroid imbalances, hearing problems, tonsillitis, mouth ulcers, tinnitus, bronchitis, asthma, and ear infections.

Connect with the throat chakra by:

  • Sing.

  • Journaling.

  • Meditation.

  • Listen to music and nature. 

Over/underactive or Imbalanced looks like: Difficulty communicating, shy, over-talkative and sharing, lack of clarity, rapid speech.
