Helicopter Arms

Feeling anxious?!  

Ground yourself quickly, and regulate the nervous system with Helicopter arms. 

How to do it:  

  1. Ground your feet into the earth

  2. Allow your arms to be heavy 

  3. Using your torso strength to allow your arms to flop back and forth so the right arm touches the left side of the body and vice versa. 

Why it works: 

When you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed you no longer are using the logical side of your brain. Bilateral movement helps to connect the right and left side of your brain, soothes your nervous system and grounds you.
